Numerous text illustrations. 448pp, original full blue morocco, gilt top, Lonsdale Library gilt crest on upper cover. Apart from some minor foxing to front blank fly leaf this is a very fine example.

Generally a good example.

This book of Fred Taylors is full of cheerful reminiscence and exploits. He tells about the exact spots he fishes, explains the problems and their solutions and descibes how great catches were made.

The whole forming a work of real utility. Taylor was the first to recommend the use of a vice in flytying and the first to provides explicit instructions for tying salmon flies. 298pp, half title. 19th century full calf, rebacked. Some wear to corners. Bookplate.
